Omron is one of the major Japanese automation manufacturers. Their PLC range includes the compact CPM/CP1, the modular CJ series, and the rack-mounted CS series, programmed with SYSWIN and CX-Programmer (CX-One).

CX-Programmer, part of the CX-One suite, supports programming in LD (Ladder), FB (Function Block) and ST (Structured Text). The CX-Simulator allows testing programs without hardware. Omron PLCs are known for their Host Link communication, Modbus serial communication, and CompoBus/D (DeviceNet) and EtherCAT networks.
