Channel Configuration in RSView32
Channel Configuration in RSView32
In the previous practice, I configured a link between RSView32 and an OPC Server, in this one we will configure a direct link, that is, RSView32 has 4 channels that we can configure. Since my PC has a COM port, I can use this to configure a DF1 link, and since the RSLogix500 Emulator simulates a DH-485, we can also configure this as will be shown in this practice.
1.- We select Channel and choose the type of Network we are going to use

2.- Since RSLogix Emulate 500 simulates a DH-485 Network, I select this, as shown in the following image.

3.- We select Direct Driver, then we choose the name we are interested in for this link, the previously configured channel, the node number that we can observe in RSLinx, and the type of processor

4.- With these steps, we have configured the link, and we can observe it if we click within the System directory -> Node. And if we click on Channel, we can see how the first channel is configured

Now we just need to add the Tags, in the "Tag Database" as done previously and check that the link is correctly established. To avoid repeating all the steps, I will add a Tag with its corresponding Address

I check with Tag Monitor that the Tag is valid and the state change when varying the Tag.
